Shaun Keating - Owner Keating Dental Arts

Shaun was born on a naval base in Puerto Rico in 1962. He grew up in Huntington Beach, California. While in high school he helped his older brother Kevin, a dentist, with his casework. His brother became the president of the dental school at the University of Southern California and played a large role in Shaun's decision to pursue a career in the dental industry. In 1984, Shaun began his career as a dental technician and became a Certified Dental Technician (CDT) in Crown and Bridge from the National Board of Certification in 1991.

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for dentistry, he was quickly promoted from waxer and metal finisher to a ceramist until becoming the Crown and Bridge Manager at a large dental laboratory. Having achieved all of his personal goals, Shaun decided to pursue the dream of every American: to own his own business.

The Emergence of Keating Dental Arts

The perfect blend of technical experience and personal service, was always in the back of his mind. In making this laboratory a family run business, Shaun learned first hand the challenges many Dentists face each day as businessmen. When your name is on the front door, you focus on every last detail and you leave no stone unturned -- the success of your business depends on it.

Shaun Keating takes enormous pride in being a devoted family man. He and his wife Shannon have two great sons, Kyle and Travis. Shaun is also active in the community, having served as the coach for Northwood Little League Baseball and Irvine Youth Football since the boys were 7 and 8. In addition to donating to and sponsoring local charities and fund raisers, he has also contributed restorative work to dentists working with disadvantaged children, battered women, the mentally ill, and the seriously traumatized.
