Irvine, CA – February, 2010 –“Growth in a Declining Economy,” featuring Shaun Keating, CDT, will provide attendees with information to help you not only survive but also THRIVE during these trying economic times. Despite the slump, Shaun has experienced success first-hand and is excited to share tips for how your laboratory can do the same. Don’t miss Cal -Lab’s timely and informative closing keynote address!
Shaun Keating, CDT is a Huntington Beach , CA native who has been close to the dental industry nearly his entire life. Shaun's decision to enter the dental field as a technician in 1984 was shaped largely by his brother's appointment as the President of the University of Southern California 's dental school, and in 1991, Shaun became a National Board Certified Dental Technician (CDT) in crown and bridge. After many successful years as a waxer, metal finisher, ceramist and crown and bridge manager for a large dental laboratory, Shaun decided to pursue his dream of owning his own business. Besides focusing on improving his business, Shaun also actively engages in the community, donating to and sponsoring local charities and contributing restorations to dentists that serve the disadvantaged.

Dr. John Kois at Keating Dental Arts March 5, 2010
Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning: Diagnostically Driven
Irvine, CA - October, 2009 - The fundamental rationale for a comprehensive treatment approach is a long-term strategy for dental health commensurate with an enhanced level of wellness for patients. Understanding parameters of disease expression is sometimes confused with parameters of patient adaptation.
Formulating the appropriate treatment plan and sequence then becomes a unique challenge. This process can be simplified if we provide a diagnostically driven approach rather than merely a menu of treatment options.
Dr. Kois's presentation will focus on a unique "10 Step Process" that will guide the dentist through the key elements required to achieve predictable longevity, case acceptance and patient satisfaction.
From this lecture participants will learn:
• A systematic approach for treatment planning for every patient in their practice.
• To focus on the four most important diagnostic categories.
• To develop critical risk parameters to minimize failures and maximize successful results.
• Protocols to implement treatment planning strategies.

Irvine, CA - Keating Dental Arts announced today a $36.00 price reduction in their premium CAD/CAM milled Zirconia crowns and bridges. Formerly listed at $195 per unit, KDZ ZirconiaTM (KDZTM) was lowered in response to technological improvements in the lab resulting in significant cost savings.

Using in-house, open-architecture scanning and milling systems Keating Dental Arts is able to provide rapid turn-around times. KDZTM crowns take just three days from the receipt of an impression to the production of a final, full contour KDZTM crown or bridge.
